Shock absorber

Hello
I want to change the rear  Shock absorber , dos anything hapens when i take it of, thinking about the leaf spring.  do i need to know something or is it just to take it of and put the new one on

Just make sure you have the rear axle supported so it doesn't drop. It won't fall out of the car or anything like rear coils do on A-bodies. It will also take the stress off the shocks so they will come off easier. Put jack stands under the rear frame of the car to support the weight and use your floor jack to raise the axle slightly.

i just replaced my shocks. do as SirLDragon said, use jack stands on the frame to support the car, then use a jack to support the rear axle.  i found it makes it all the more easier if you jack it up JUST enough that it supports the axle but doesn't lift it up much, that way you dont have to screw with lining it back up.

It? You should always replace them in pairs. Two in the front and/or two in the rear.
