301 water pump
« on: May 02, 2006, 10:39:23 AM »
Ok now I got 2 t/a's in the drive way (planning on striipping one for the parts I need for #2). Problem with one car is it looks like the water pump went to $&$ on me. The engine is a 301 4.9 in 80 t/a (yeah I know but has to do for now). The fan also has some wiggle to it which I was told the bearings are shot also. Anyone have any info on relacing these?

The slot goes up.  You tighten the alt by pulling it towards the drivers side.  One bolt for the braket is on the outside top of the water pump.  That should be enough info to figure it out.
