Looks like a really nice car for the money.  That's a price you typically see on project cars.

In in Detroit, Interested in the car, give me a zip to figure out the distance. Also will it make it to Detroit on its own power.

this is like a 9000 dollar car, why are you selling it so cheap?

Hey, Ive been looking for a 77-81 Trans Am for a while now
I live in the Indianapolis area and actually found a project 79' 403 hardtop for $2k that i was seriously considering but after seeing this it definatly takes the cake
Honestly your listing is what coaxed me into making a profile on here haha
Id love to be baptized into the family through a "passing the torch" type thing haha
Has this car sold yet or is it still on the market?

I have sent a text message, sent an email and called and left a message but I have not had a response. My initial interest was within a very short time after the lower price was published. Owner may be out of pocket.

Just saw the car yesterday. Someone with more time needs to get this car. Does not need a lot of work

It a solid car, with good floors and panels. The owner Dave 217-841-7806 was honest and forthcoming with information.

I was really interested in buying but my wife would have killed me if I got another project.

This car needs some minor work to make it a great car, here is what I saw:
1) Like I said floors/rear pan etc are solid
2) Mechanically its great 403/trans/carb/ etc are working fine.
3) Most of the work is cosmetic: paint/dye related

Paint:
    a) was done with panels on the car so the edges need to be wet sanded
    b) Also the door/hood openings need some rust spots taken care of and then painted
    c) Divers side fender is not original to car but came off a blue bird, paint shows with the hood open but panel is solid.

Check out more below.

Interior:
1) Cracked dash but at this price that is expected
2) Radio does not work but is an orginal- Dave told me this from the get go
3) Has Shifter bezel without cracks that is included with car
4) has rear package tray included with car
5) Drivers seat has rip in stiching but that can be sewn together
6) All the seats need a redye due to fading
7) Door panels are good just need carpet at bottom redone.

Wheels and tire
1) Has new tires that go with car
2) Rims are 7in Snowflakes that need to be redone.

Engine bay needs detail and repaint.

Like I said this is a simple project car, mostly spray paint and time related. If I did not already have 2 going I would have gotten this car.

Like I said give Dave a call he is totally forcoming on informaiton.
