Can anybody suggest a shop that restores the chrome plating that is on the grilles on a 76 TA. I assume that the black is painted and the chrome is plated or something? Any suggestions would be helpful.

It's only money...and after all, money is a tool that should be used.

What do the repo ones cost?

I've never found a repo set? Does someone make them? When it comes to money... I use this one a lot

It's only money. You'll make more tomorrow.

Yes, no one makes a reproduction set for the 76..... you have to live with what you have.  There were a couple of plces I checked into before who did a process called "vacuum metalizing".  The use it to do interior platic parts like dash vents and rings.  They said it is not really intended for outside use, but I explained to him that these would be done for show cars and not seen harsh weather and pretty much the only time they saw water was when the car was washed.  Might be worth a shot and maybe a little bit cheaper..... will it last?... well, only time will tell.  Also, here is the link for GCAR: http://www.gcartrim.com/
