Could need to be tuned.  Not sure if you did that already or not.  Or could be some other fuel issue.

What is the specs on your cam? I am running a large roller cam and my timming is 18 before tdc and 36 total at 3000 rpms with mechanical advance. Your cam card should give you some instruction on what timming you need.

Have you checked your timming with a timming light? You may need to go with a quicker vacuum advance.
