For you W72 owners
« on: January 23, 2008, 07:49:12 PM »
I recently bought an insulated fuel line on ebay for $28.  It showed up today.  It is SWEET!  I had bought a section of armaflex (sp?) and was going to put that over a section of fuel line.   The ebay item was from Inline Tube.  The insulation is about 1/2 the thickness of the aramflex and it looks really good.   I'd say it's a good investment of $28.

It looked great to me.  But my original is still hanging in.  I kind of like the old worn out look it has......just like me!

LOL....... well, hopefully you won't dry rot.  :)     I paid $25 for the armaflex (I hope I'm calling it the correct name) and I paid $28 for the insulated line from Inline Tube.   So I wanted to share a "find".    :D

What's with the fuel line insulation?  Are you guys actually experiencing vapor lock issues?  I bent and flared my own pump to carb line for my car, and it's working fine without any insulation at all.

Just curious...

That's how they came from the factory. So this is mostly a restoration thing.

Wow... those pics look amazing.  I gotta get me one of those.  I tried searching for Inline Tube's ebay ID but didn't find anything... do you still have a link to the auction so I get their ID?

Observant fellows would notice the link to In-Line Tube under the picture.   ;D

The ebay seller doesn't have them listed right now, so I figured going to the source was better.
