Freshly Painted 75 mid-restore
« on: October 28, 2013, 06:40:29 PM »
Hey all, not sure if as many people browse the Restoration pages as much, but I wanted to share my car's custom paint job. Including a Ghosted Bird. (Although I do not have a good pic of the entire bird yet) The car has yet to be cut and buffed, which they are doing this week, but I just had to snap a few pics. It is a Candy Base Coat - "Wild Cherry" from House of Kolor and with a charcoal black base under the color for the body and Cosmic Silver base for under where the bird logo is. We had a custom made decal for the bird to lay on in between coats. And yes, it was outside, it was early morning, so the car had dew/moisture on it and I rubbed away a spot of the wing and took a few pics.

Man that looks excellent!!! Wild Cherry is one color I have always eyed as a color I would like to do mine in. Awesome job, can't wait to see more pics.

Thanks guys. I should have more pics in the coming weeks. We still have to paint the odds and ends pieces. Mirrors, tail light covers, reflector covers, lower front valance, etc... Sorry the pics of the ghost bird weren't very clear. It was a cold wet morning and the car was outside. Once she's all ready and done with paint completely, I will take better pics with her clean and in better lighting. Then eventually of course when she's complete, I will have pics and videos up. But I'm glad you guys enjoyed the sneak peek and stay tuned!
