For me, it was Fast Times at Ridgemont High." First he's gonna $hit then He's gonna kill us"..... " my old man is a Television repairman with the ultimate set of tools....I can fix it" Too damn funny! But why couldn't it be a TA in the movie.........That's OK at least it is an F body. Wasn't the car driven by the guy as the song played "Somebody's Baby Tonight" and where she said "Nice car" a TA though{

Too many to list!
Among a couple others was
"The Last Dragon"
"Last American Virgin"
"Corvette Summer" (Mainly bcuz of the Firebird in it!)
-
Was not in high school yet but love fasttimes at ridgemont high.
-
I think that car was a 300 ZX that he was driving. When he took her to the point.
-
If you notice that when they are driving the car through traffic the Z28 has fisher T-Tops but the wreaked car has Hurts T-Tops.
-
The brown car was a nissan z
-
my favorite movie was ..."Better Off Dead" with john cusack.....
-
Fast Times was a great movie. Phoebe Cates....wow, when I was about ten years old I saw that and never forgot it. One of my other favorites from that era is the Blues Brothers. Good movie and a lot of good old blues musicians in that one. Interesting trivia note on that movie....the first guy to jump on the table at the end of the movie, when they are playing in prison, is Joe Walsh.

Road Warrior (The Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla!)
Warriors (More gangmembers than I could count)
Wanderers (Wanderers vs The Baldies)
Airplane (Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue)
Caddyshack (You don't have to go to college. This isn't Russia. Is this Russia? This isn't Russia)
Heavy Metal (Sammy Hagar tunes and animation like I've never seen >:D)
Escape From New York (Snake rules this movie)

Yeah........it was 8) Nice memory as for me........Once again Fast Times at Ridgemont High was my fav. movie. That explains that. Yeah, directors said she was all too eager to take her clothes off. What ever happened to the movies with simple nudity and humor anyway.........now all you get for an R rating are violent themed movies ....NO wonder society is killing one another off. ..........sorry I digress.

Yeah there you go, it's up there with Pink Floyd's The Wall for sure. What ever happened to rock and roll anyway! Classics like Boston, Eagles, Zep, Floyd, CCR, etc better not die...........I will be so lost in this world. I hope to find an 8 track for
"piper" as I still have all the classics on 8 track!! 8)

One Crazy Summer, Better Off Dead, Caddyshack.
All time favorite is Spaceballs - came out my Freshman year in college. Funny story...guys on my floor didn't want to see it but the girls did so we went as a group. About 15 minutes into the movie, the pious christian girls were OMG'ing the movie wondering why they thought it would be good. They were hating the movie. All us guys were absolutely loving the movie. Talk about a 180 on a movie!!!
-
High School USA, not a big screen movie but TV movie. I saw that and was like damn I want a TA like that one. Gold with side pipes.
Christine
oh any Chuck Norris. bad a** in the day still is.

I thought I was the only person who had Logan's Run as a favorite. I would add Star Wars. I was a nerd though, wishing I had a Trans Am so that I wouldn't have to be a nerd anymore.
-
Star wars, Empire stikes back, Indiana Jones and the temple of Doom and Ferris Bueller's day off. My favorite 4. :)
-
Rocky, Animal House, Saturday Night Fever, MadMax, Jaws, Dirty Harry and of course Smokey and The Bandit.

Anyone seen the movie "Vanishing Point"? Great car movie. I came into it expecting an average chase movie, like SatB, but its actually a lot more. There's a lot of symbolism and story telling going on. Great soundtrack and some great driving in that badass challenger (http://i1144.photobucket.com/albums/o489/nworks1/vanishingpoint.jpg)
-
Not the greatest movie and certainly not my era but Heather Locklear is in it so had to watch. It was my daughter CD called something like The Greatest Man. Anyways, there is a silver hardtop with blue bird. They said 80 model. But the character driving it was definitely a stereotype of the type person who drives a TA

In high school wow...... Fast Times was up there only because that was the only late model 2nd gen Z28 I'd like to have. Others I liked and still love is History of the World Part 1, Blazing Sadles, and Naked Gun to name a few
-

Since you brought out swords, I have to say that the original (its sad that I have to say that) Conan the Barbarian was tops for me. Probably had the best classical movie sound track of all time as well.

Fast times at Ridgemont high was my first choice followed closely by back to the future.
Prayers go out to Michael J Fox...what a shame about his illness.

Reckon I'd struggle to get the concept of a Peterbuilt on the drive and past the wife, but I could hide a Valiant no problem...
