Topic: Door jamb sticker codes

Just peeled off some tape that had been painted over and uncovered my drivers side door sticker... I didn't even think I'd have anything like it left on my poor car considering how much of my original stuff has gone missing.
Anyhow I was wondering what all the codes mean? It's a big deal for me as I don't have a build sheet or a cowl tag or anything. The only good things so far are that all my VIN numbers match and there's not too much rust...
I couldn't find anything about the codes but I'm probably not looking in the right places.

Agreed...just build date, VIN, weight, tire size and PSI, etc...nothing to get excited about.

Also, the weights are not the weight of the car. GVWR stands for Gross Vehicle Weight Rating. It's the GM recommended maximum amount of weight the car can carry, including the weight of the car plus a load of passengers and cargo and fuel, etc. The GVWR is the sum of the other 2 numbers which are GAWR, meaning the Gross Axle Weight Rating. Those are the GM recommended maximum weights that each axle can safely be loaded, and added together, they amount to the GVWR.
As an example, your car may only weigh about 3500 lbs., but could carry up to about 1300 in additional load, so the GVWR would be 4800 lbs.

That clears up a lot of stuff... it just looked like random numbers and letters at first lol. There's nothing about the tyre psi there though... it's just all the weights.

Huh nothing else is there, I only have the one sticker. Pretty much like everything else on my TA, only half of it's there...
