This is why I really hate the spoiled idiots that get picked to get their cars done on the show.  It's all a scam.  There is no way in the world people drive around with those beaters.  No way!! 

and as far as the pacer, it is and always be ugly.  You can put a ton of makeup on a pig, but it's still a pig

You know, I actually test drove one of those back in 1975.  A buddy stopped in at an American Motors dealership to get a part, and the salesman hit me up trying to sell me something.  He looked like Herb Tarlek on WKRP, but only a few years earlier because that show didn't start until 1978.  He had it all -- wide tie, bell bottom double-knit polyester paints, bold plaid jacket, and a toupe.  The car moved like it was constipated, and rode like a pickup.  I went home and took a shower and still felt dirty for a week.
