Title: 1979 TA factory options

I just recently purchased an all original 1979 TA with a 400 - 4 speed with factory air and 67,000 miles.
It was originally ordered by the owner of the local Pontiac dealer. The car has a roll bar in it and I'm being told that he ordered the car with it. I've never seen one before but I'm definitely no trans am expert.
Just wondering if anyone knows if this was possible to get from the factory? It sure appears to look factory.

I think you may have been mislead. None that I know of came from factory with one, especially in 79'.

Factory install? NO
Dealer installed when new? Possible
