After much searching, I have come to the conclusion that the tach in my 78 t/a is toast. The cost to replace with a used one seems to be very high, and I haver to purchase an entire instrument cluster. If you have fit an Autometer, or other make of aftermarket tach, would you mind sharing which model #, and any major headaches you had installing it?
