Title: 77SE $1000.00
Post by: 2ndchildhood on July 26, 2011, 07:11:25 PM
I have a guy that has a 78 4speed and a 77se.  He wants to sell both as a package.  I want the 78 4spd and as much as I'd like the 77SE I just dont have the room for it.  It's a complete SE but the rear frame rails are gone.  The interior is great.  And the motor and tranny are there.  He also said he would throw in the floor panels and the frame rails for the SE.  The catch is that he needs the cars moved from the Detroit MI area in the next couple days.  If your interested in a complete 77SE parts car and are available to get it out of Mi in the next couple days let me know.  I'll post pics later tonight if he sends them.  I have seen both these cars and the money is there in parts for the SE.  PS, this will also get you keys to the Trans AM kingdom this guy is liquidating.  He has clear title for both cars.  1k for a complete 77SE is a steal.  PM me.  BTW the forgot to mention that both of these cars have been parked sine 1983.

77 SE for 1000 that is a great deal.  To bad i could never get down there in time.  Plus i bet that car in 4SPEED's hands would be a lot better than in mine.  Good luck

I doubt it .  its bad enough I dont want to take it on.   but I would if I wanted to take the next 2 years to do it. to get it into roller.

I have a couple more pics that I shared with 4speed.  If you blow them up you can see the ttop on the passenger side of the 77se.  Ive seen these cars in person.  4Speed is right when he says the SE is rough.  The back wheelwells are sitting on the tires.  I didn't look close enough when I was there 3 months ago to see why.  The guy that has them is hard to get hold of.  I am trying to set up the deal for Saturday or Sunday.  I call him in the afternoon, he emails me back at 4am.  Must be a night owl.

To make a long story short, I was given a 3 hour window to get these cars today when the guy finally called me back.  It's a long story, but any way.  I showed up with 2 flatbeds.  Picked up both cars.  I'm lovin on the 4speed.  It's in better shape than I remembered it was.  (sorry 4speed).  The SE is beyond my capability.  The rocker on the driver's side is missing.  That caused the roof to twist a little when it was put on the truck.  The floor is missing, the rear brakes are locked.  The rear tires sit about an inch below the whell wells.  It does have the numbers matching W72 400 in it though.  I'm open to offers, hate to have to do it in.  It's still a 77 SE, it would be a shame.  I'll post pics tomorrow.  When I was talking to the son he told me that those cars had been sitting in the same spot for as long as he could remember.  He said he grew up with those 2 cars.  When I talked to the guy that was helping him with the estate, he told me both cars were sitting in the same spot the day he met the man that passed away.  He asked me that the man's name be placed somewhere hidden in the car.

I'm not trying to be hush hush about anything...lol.  I've tried a couple times to post pics of the SE and the 4spd (also SE) I keep getting the error that the uploader is full/try a smailler size. I checked the size of the pics and they are only 14k.  Not sure what's going on???

Reaper, I've still only been invited to location 1 of 3.  I tried the same trick you did because the 3rd location where all the cars are is supposed to be only 15 miles from my house headed west.  Tried google earth to find a house with 60 cars at it...LOL.

BTW....Reaper...he wants to deal 5 more TA's in one shot.  1 79 SE, 2 other number's matching 79's, 2 rollers, and one with a Chevy engine in it.  I'm still trying to get a price out of him it's like pulling teeth!!  I'll give you first crack for the favor you pulled for me with the pump.

Nothing personal taken.   I guess thats just the way a over the phone deal works out.

good luck with the 77 W72 4speed.  I hope it doesnt turn into a I'm going to restore it some day project.

Sorry  reaper   but scrapper/ parts dealer it all the same to me and the same end result to the car.  I didnt intend to offend you by the word scrapper.   if it wasnt for you and the others , it would be harder to find the parts we all need.
my statement made wasnt aimed you or what you do for a living.
