Topic: just picked up a car hauler trailer

I just picked up a car hauler trailer last weekend.  I would like to put a winch on it but i don't want to spend a lot of money on something that I won't be using all that often.  What I was wondering is how much of a winch is needed to pull a car up on a trailer?  I would appreciate any info.

i have heard you want a minimum of 1.5 times the vehicle weight, but alot depends on what you will be using it for, and %incline of the trailer, resistance (flat tires), and such
