Pleasant Surprise
« on: December 18, 2006, 06:43:23 PM »
I recently bought a 79 Black and Gold T-top trans am with a 403. the current owner didn't know if it was a clone or a Y84.  I bought it thinking it probably wasn't and sent off for the PHS documents. I found out yesterday it is in fact an SE and was originally sold in the same town I live now..

I won't feel so bad about sinking some bucks into restoring it now...Already got some goodies on the way from TASPECIALTIES..
9 Special Edition per PHS
403 T-Top

That is good news indeed. Finding those SE cars nowadays is tough work. Especially if they're in good condition. Congratulations on your SE purchase

Congrats and welcome to the SE group..
I take it was a Van Nuys build, ie; no marking on the cowl tag?
