1979 Trans Am $50K. Very nice. but a couple of small issues.

Here's a very nice '79 Trans Am listed on ebay. I have a couple of problems with the ad though.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Pontiac-Trans-Am-22809-Actual-Mile-1979-Pontiac-Trans-Am-400-4-Speed-WS6-/280783525958?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4160009846

"Behind the motor, a W72-exclusive Muncie M21 4-speed manual transmission sends power to the cars original 10 bolt rear end"

The '79 W72 Trans Ams didn't come with a Muncie. They came with a BW T-10.

"In the middle of the floor pans, an original dual exhaust system still carries original GM mufflers and catalytic converters in front of correct stainless side splitter tips"

2nd Gen Fbodys came equipped with ONE catalytic converter. Whoever wrote the ad must be seeing things, because all I see is two mufflers. No catalytic converter(s)

I'm not trying to nitpick, as the car is VERY nice, but if you're gonna spend $50K on a '79 Trans Am, it had better be represented exactly. lol.

Still, a very nice car. Worth 50K? not in my opinion.
NOT INVESTMENTS.

As soon as I sawthe name, I stopped looking. They are not the brightest group. The actually moved from Ohio to NC,  because of shady business practices.

Also the front bumper dose not match, it is more yellow than white .
The bird on the hood is not centered and the T/A6.6 is ontop of the shaker.

I really like the floor the car is on in the pictures. Clean car overall but it must have had two different paint jobs and those decals were definitely not put on by Hitman. I wouldn't kick it out of bed for eating crackers though.

In 1979 pontiac wasn't interested in quality they were interested in quantity.
Poor quality was the norm so a decal not centered or paint not matching was
par for the course.

So you are thinking it is original paint and decals?

79's came with a single cat splitting into two resonator type mufflers under the rear seats.  nice system from the cat back.

Are there any 79's that are worth 50,000?  I am betting original paint and decals.  The guys at the factory had about 5 min to put that bird on, dont think  Hitman can do that.
