UM7 - AM/FM Stereo ETR Radio
« on: December 28, 2008, 06:44:28 AM »
I was recently looking through eBay and found this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/79-80-81-NOS-CAMARO-TRANS-AM-CORVETTE-CADILLAC-FM-RADIO_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a10Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem290284723487QQitemZ290284723487QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

It is a RPO (UM7) radio.  This is the radio my Trans Am originally came with and was almost impossible to find.  This is only the second one I have ever seen on eBay and ironically it is from the same seller I bought mine from.  The transaction with this seller went very well and I am very satisified with the radio he sold me!  I did notice looking at the pictures the seller has posted, that the back of the radio where the wiring pigtails plug into looks different from the radio I bought.  This one appears to have the wiring recepticles pointing up instead of straight out the back.

So, if anyone is looking for the correct UM7 radio for their Trans Am, or a correct factory looking radio that would allow you to use a FM modulator and play your iPod, CD player, XM radio, ect.  this might be a good deal....although I would expect the price to go up a little more (or at least I hope so, so I don't feel guilty about paying what I did!)
