i will work on it.  I will set up a photobucket account and throw you a couple.  I have a video that shows the interior well.  Do you know if i can throw that on here or not?

OK, i have a video i shot with my cell phone when i loaded it, not the best quality but it will have to do.  Not sure what is up with the rear spoiler lettering or that optional hood hold down that is missing (that must have been a dealer add)  ;).  They are at photobucket, not sure if the link will work so you may have cut and paste until i figure that out.

The vidoe was too large to send from my phone is one peice so there are three parts (just like Star Wars, also from 1977)

In spite of the apprearance of the quarters and trunk drops the floor was perfect.  The paint is a baked on finish.

It's not a Cecil B Demill production, (more like the Blair Witch Project) but you get the idea.

i have to agree.  It just doesn't fit the car.  I cant believe anyone actually ordered it this way.

I know a guy here in Norway with a 74' SD-455, and he got white exterior with blue hood bird, and red\white interior :P

And by the way, I actually think it would look cool with the red\white interior on the Y82 ;) Although Black looks better in a black car ;)

Very cool.  Can you send a picture of that interior?  I would love to see it restored. I agree with you on that black on black comment, it does look best in my opinion.

I'm back in the garage today removing the dash and emptying that subframe. Not much left now except for a blank canvas. Next up, reconstruction.

Thank you for your comments, very appreciated.

Since you've brought up the red with white seats in a black car, I've seen a couple on the forums. Here's a 79 in this thread: http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php?topic=34244.0

And a 77 Formual here: http://transamcountry.com/community/index.php?topic=46022.0

Although I think the red and white is kind of sporty, and it would be cooler to sit in during the summer, it wouldn't be my first choice. Black interior always looks good in the black cars, but I live in the South, so black interior is too hot for my liking. In a 77, I'd go with all firethorn red inside, since I like that red, and it goes with a black car. I think it's the best looking interior in a 77. Here's a small pic I found on the internet:

When I paint my 79 black, I'm going with camel tan, like in this 79 dealer brochure:

I like that red interior shot, thanks.  Sometimes it is easier to see it then to visualize it.  Im doing the body work now, i will keep you posted when it is time to chose a direction on the interior.

You're welcome. Here's the site that I got the 77 red interior shot from. It's great for comparing original interior colors for each year: http://tran-zam.com/1977/1977_Interiors.htm
