Ok, here will be the planned routes and times for the Caravan to the 2007 Trans Am Nationals.  Of course, the first plan is to have a "Pre-Caravan Party/Cookout".  This year, it will be held at my house to kick off the weekend.

Caravan Cook-Out
We will be meeting at my house anytime after 6:30pm on Thursday August 23rd.  We will be having a cookout/Pool Party for anyone who wants to attend and also caravan down with us the next morning.  The cookout will be located at my house in Mentor OH.    If you are coming for the cookout, please notify me so that we can get a head count and I will give you directions.  Mentor, OH is located about 25 miles East of Cleveland right up on Lake Erie.  We can also supply you with a list of hotels to saty at for the night.

The Caravan

The Carvan will leave from the Marathon Gas Station located at 4189 State Route 306 Willoughby, OH 44094-9269.  It is near the junction of Rt.306 and I-90 near the exit #193 off I-90.  We will meet there at 8:30am so that you may have a chance to fuel up and gather any needed items for the trip.  If you wish to meet with the caravan at this point, please contact Brett Campbell.  The caravan will leave promptly at 9:00am.  We will be taking I-90 East and join up with I-271 South.  I-271 South will Join/End at I-71 South.  We will take I-71 South to Exit #204 which is Rt. 83 Lodi Exit.  The first leg of the Caravan is about 65 miles so we will arrive here at the Lodi Prime Outlet at approximately 10:15am.  We will be meeting up with a group of cars coming from the East.  If you wish to join the Caravan at this point please contact Rick Hunsicker, please be here by 10:00am.

We will depart the Lodi Prime Outlet Mall at approx. 10:30am.
We will go back out and continue down I-71 South to Exit #121 which is the Polaris Parkway Exit.  The second leg of the caravan is approx 85 miles.  We will meet at the Polaris Parkway Mall at approx. 11:45am.  Directly accross the street is a gas station that we will have a chance to fuel and get more supplies if needed.  If you wish to meet the caravan at this location, please contact Brock Smith and be here at 11:30am.

We will depart from the Polaris Mall at approx. 12:15pm and take I-71 South to I-270 West.  We will follow I-270 West approx 17 miles to I-70 West.  We will follow I-70 West approx 62 miles to Exit #32 which is the Dayton International Airport and the Trans Am Nationals.  We will arrive here at approx 1:45pm.

Any questions, please contact Hitman or Hammer.  We had approximately 14 cars last year that joined us on the caravan and had a great time.  It looks like this year we will be closer to 20+ cars on the caravan.  We will also have a truck and a trailer following us with tools  and a couple spare tires just in case anything happens.  We look forward to meeting you along the way, or meeting you at the Nationals.

If not, Radio Shak has a nice hand held 40-channel one for around 39.00. It takes 9 AA batteries in it. I take mine with me on road trips with the car.

LMAO off at Hammer.
Reminds me of a camping trip I was on, I was out in the truck and the wife was in the tent we were using.
I was talking to some folks on my Amertuer (ham) radio gear, the wife comes out say's, geez if I had a mic, a speaker and some dials or if I were on the end of a radio, maybe id get more attention.
Then she stormed off back in to the tent, so I get a hand held radio out, go into the tent and give it to her.
Then I go back out to the truck and call her on the radio and have a chat.  ;D ;D ;D

It was funny at the time, and its still a running joke between us  ;)

Sort of !!!

Anyway this road trip sounds like a blast, maybe I should put a cell call through to one of you, while your all together, so I can say Hi.

Ok, I have talked to hammer about this, and he had ask me to bring a few spare tires, I will be rolling up the rear with my trailer, so is there anything you can think of beside tires and a floor jack, Just in case some one needs a tire, I will also need to fuel up over at the love's truck stop, and then I MAY have to stop at the fly"n J truck stop at exit 131 to top off for the rest of the trip to dayton, Fuel stops are hard to find for a diesel, And I know fly'n J has the cheapest fuel, and I have a card for them anyways, So I will most likely jump off at the 131 and then meat back up with you at the mall. Or you can use this as a pit stop, maybe. Hammer feel free to call me any time, I always on the road. ;)
