Pretty common problem I guess for those of us that did Not go with LS Engines like we should have. I'm looking to see if others have had and solved the issue.
I'm a little premature asking because I will be having a pro tune soon whereas it will be properly timed ect. which very well could have been my problem for some time. As indicated, 461, Comp XE268 cam. I "had" a FlowKooler older design water pump and as indicated, it ran fine but in traffic, it didn't always do the job. I now have the latest version but haven't run it in the summer yet. I "had" a stock engine fan with a severe duty fan clutch. It did okay, it cycled, it let the temp run up a bit and then kick on and roar. It too though had terrible moments of high temp. I am installing as we speak a Flex-A-Lite duel electric set up with a total of 3000cfm.
I've described all of this just to see who else out there has experienced it but my simple question in closing, will 3000cfm cool this thing, AC going, in traffic? I feel as though it 3000cfm minimum but anyone else needed to go more?
