Well the guy never showed the second time . May have it sold to a friend but still up in the air .

Guys  just got a call from the body shop and all the wheels on my F150 are bent . That scares me , dam! There aftermarket moto metals and the insurance will replace them of course ,  but what's the rest of the truck like?

This is what it used to look like

Hi Rainman,

sorry to hear about your truck, the theifs must of been doing some serious off roading with it to bend all your wheels, I would demand that your truck be taken to a ford dealer and have all of the supsention checked for cracks and see whatever else was bent.
I'am sure that you don't want to hear this but: I had a 1979 formula  ws6 t top that was close to the shape your 78 is in, I needed quick cash to buy a harley so i let it go to a friend for 10,000, Well here it 5 years later, harleys been gone for a few years, I have a another 79 trans am  hard top that I have close to 25,000 into trying to make in the fomula that i got rid of,
and the worst thing is seeing my old formula at every show that i go to.
I hope you can hang on to trans am but i know that you have to do what is best for you.

good luck Frank

Rainman....

I'm truly sorry to hear about the truck being stolen.

I think this forum has lost several "key" members in the last couple of years that really brought a lot to the table.  You would definitely be missed if you left.

Hope all works out for the best for you.

agree, do not accept truck unless you are certain it is 100% fixed, hidden damage may make it a total loss (new truck)

Well,
Just to say I am sorry that you are in such a bad situation.
I am nobody to advice you, but I guess you probably  will regret if you sell the Trans Am.
A great looking car, the best year, great color, T tops. And you will sell it just to add the money to buy another truck even it is a good one.
Hopefully you will not regret some day.
I am sorry that I am looking for such a car now, but do not have enough cash for yours.
Good luck with the sale.

RAIN!  Just because you sell the car does not mean you have to leave the site! I know you'll get another one!

Rain, I tell everybody I meet everyday. Any day above ground is a good day! Besides...the car is really moving nicely now. My builder has had some issues with the BMW seats because they came from a car with a computer ( CAN-BUS) system but he is making progress.

I think I should have my rear in the seats in a couple of weeks. Not all of life's road's are gonna be on the interstate. You gotta hit a few potholes to appreciate the 3 lane highways.

  Keep posting those fabulouse pictures!
