I am starting the restoration of my 70 TA next month, I will be adding creature comforts and safety features. I would like auto headlight/tailamps when car is running but, I would like to use the original OR an original looking dash switch. Can anyone help with ideas or options ??

Auto headlights? Do you mean you want them to come on as soon as becomes dark or just when running and off again? Even way back they had accessories for headlight reminder add-ons and the like, many things are possible hidden away, I'd imagine they may be best suited to a relay setup in some situations.
