Did Bob the bandit actually use old fuel lines?

Things to remember...

1. This car was a couple weeks away from being complete for George - per Bob the bandit.
2. This car is an excellent example of a Bandit - per Bob the bandit.
3. This car was pulled against the "advise" (misspelled on purpose) of BAB - per Bob the bandit.
4. Anything that could be seen was spray bombed and after that, the heck with it - my personal comment based off photos George has provided. Basically - lipstick on a pig.

Q: George, was this originally a 403 car? The reason I ask is that those fuel lines would be on that side of the car if it were originally a 403 powered car. I'm assuming you have a "K" in your vin sequence?? And as much as I hate to defend Bob the bandit, it would explain why those lines weren't replaced.

I wouldn't be surprised to see these photos used in Bobs future auctions

Then what we're looking at is a vent line that ran from the charcoal canister back to the tank and a return line (more than likely was an AC car). So neither of those leaking would cause as much angst as if it were the main fuel line running from the tank to the fuel pump. Not great and good to catch now.

Just one question they spent all that time on painting everything up nice but left the spindles and springs dirty or are those just temps until the others are ready to put on.
