That's possible. But I have to admit, it's odd to swap from a Pontiac engine of any size to an Olds. I mean, I'm proff that people do it, but we're talking pretty long odds.

Yeah, I mean it's stupid.  Why would you EVER want to run an Olds motor when you've got a Pontiac.  ;)   Sorry, couldn't resist.

I just like to go against the grain. The 455 Olds in the Trans Am and the 400 in the Cutlass. ;)

Im going to look at the car next week.  from the pics it looks good. just going to try to get the car.  i have two 301's , one 403 and two 77 400's . dont need another 403.

alright this guy is an !@#$%& .  he sent me a pic of the 403 olds motor.   :-\  it looks like a 301 pontiac to me.
the pic isnt grate but doesnt look like a olds to me.

sure looks like a pontiac to me.  if it was a 403 wouldn't there be a tube stickin up in the front of the motor almost like an oil filler tube
