1979 Trans Am Hard Top
« on: August 09, 2016, 12:52:41 AM »
Hey everyone,
I'm thinking of selling my 79 Hardtop but I am little unsure how much to list it for.  The market seems all over the place and NADA pricing puts the low end at $10,200.  I've attached some pics.

List of repairs:
  • New gas tank in 2016
  • New timing chain in 2008
  • 2005 - Rebuilt transmission (Inspected, cleaned and overhauled by a professional shop)
  • 2005 - Rebuilt Carburetors

List of issues:
  • The transmission leaks transmission fluid.
  • The car could use some new weatherstripping
  • There are dings and scratches on the driver side door and front fender
  • There are scratches on the driver side rear quarter panel
  • The driver side door hinge sags a little bit.  Door still opens and closes fine
  • There’s a small paint chip on the passenger side rear quarter panel
  • The previous owner had someone replace the stock 2:41 rear differential gears with 3:73 gears.  They work fine but the speedometer is off because of it.
  • The previous owner had also removed the air conditioning system

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks in advance.
