Several months back I was given a free 77 Trans Am (which is parked at my brothers house in Texas). Shortly after, the guy who gave me the Trans Am was over at my brothers house with his wife. My brother and David (guy who gave me the car) were talking about my plans for the Trans Am. David's wife overheard them talking and became very angry when she found out that not only had David owed the Trans Am, but he never told here about it and she had been wanting one for years.
I offered for a couple of months to give the car back, but David refused saying a deal is a deal (nice guy). So he found a 1979 Trans Am in ok condition (at least its a running car). The car was original white with a red interior. David wanted the car black. Since my brother is a paint and body guy he agreed to complete the body work and paint the car for David. The car had to be done by today because it's David's anniversary tomorrow and he plans on giving the car to his wife. David's plans are to find some snowflake rims, front and rear spoilers and redo some of the enblems. Here are some pic's of the car after painting:
I don't have any before shots, but the car was white, dungy and very rough. Also, my brother called me about 4 times while putting on the decals because he realized David bought the wrong decal kit and he was getting reference points for the pinstripping. I don't know where he got the decal kit, but it ran him over $600.00 and it is for a 77-78 Trans Am.
Still the car looks good and I can now get busy on mine since I know for sure David does not want the 77 back.
