Sorry to hear about the cold weather, I grew up in Colorado so I know a little about it.  That is why I live in Florida now.  I just got the drive train back together this weekend and took her and the kids for an inaugural spin, OOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH I missed that.

All that cold weather is the pits. Rode the hog while in South Carolina 74 degrees in Spartanburg Thursday. Nice tee shirt weather.  8)  8)

You poor Americans.  Here in Australia we get to drive our Trans Ams whenever we want.  We don't have to lock them away for the winter.
However in winter it is nice and warm in the 78 Trans Am with the heat coming in through the floor.

I hate to disagree with you pta78.  I've been to your beautiful country many times.  You'd better not drive your T/A on those desolute roads at night.  You'll have a Kangaroo on your hood instead of a Firebird!

I drove from Brisbane to Longreach.  We saw a dead kangaroo every 200 meters.  Those big trucks with their roo guards do lots of damage.  We never saw a live kangaroo during the day, but we got stuck on the road at night and those buggers were everywhere!  I thought we would hit one for sure...but we got lucky!

Good on you!  Don't let your T/A get buggered!

Have a burger with "the lot" for me!

kyledyr,

it's true you can get them easier than we can. and you can get parts easier and cheaper as well, but we still have some little treasures hidden away if you can find them.  We picked up a black 1980 Trans Am the other day.  Although the numbers don't match (it has a Chevy 307, Turbo 400 and a 9" diff) we are going to do it up and take it to the Nostalga Drags in March.  It will make a nice little Street/drag car with a few minor repairs. (Nostalga Drags are all the older cars that go to the drags.  There are plenty of the older pontiacs there)
ta78w72,
It's true, I'd rather have a Firebird on my Bonnet than a Kangaroo.  The little devils come close to the road during the drought and eat the grass on the sides of the roads. When one jumps across the road the rest follow.
We don't see too many kangaroos because we live in a built up area but  there are some about 10 minutes away.  My TA is a weekend car.  Just take it out cruising and to swap meets, car shows and pontiac club meetings and runs.

I will have a burger with "the lot"  for you.  Aren't they great.

There is another thing you have in your neck of the woods, GOLD! And not just any gold, huge nuggets! Don't get me wrong we have nuggets it's just that you guys pull more nuggets out than anywhere else. I would love to get over there to do some beeping!
