Roller Cams
« on: July 27, 2015, 04:13:05 PM »
Hey all, been a while since I've been on.  Currently in the middle of my 455 build.  So far have HarbBloc up to freeze plugs, bored .040 with boring plate used.  New Eagle 4.250 crank, Scat H Beam 6.8 rods, DSS Forged racing pistons, with new flex plate and balancer.  Set up has been balanced.  Now to start the top end.

I have decided to go hydraulic roller set up...We (my Dad and I) see some fairly inexpensive roller lifters on eBay.  I'm sure not made is USA...Are these any good???  I'm guessing probably not the best, but just checking it to see if anybody here has tried them or know somebody that has.

Engine will be running ported 6X-8 heads and ported intake manifold...

Eventually going E-Heads...but going with what I have for now and the budget it fits in.

Thanks
David

You don't want to install cheap rollers, cause if they fail they will cost u a lot!. Bytheway you will need a non- egr manifold+ new valley pan to install roller cam.

Also I'll need new springs and off course new pushrods ( usually comes with the cam full kit)
