Wow those rear brakes are shot! Almost looks like they were stuck on.
Did you have to replace the drums in the process?
-
yeah . the way they were dragging when i drove it home "500 miles" i knew i was gonna have to replace the drums so I just bought new drums and rotors and figured I'd replace it all . that's a sight though ain't it?
-
Yep it is. Very little of that shoe left.
BTW: Nice C10. Got any more shots of it? My buddy is doing a frame off on a '66 C10 shortbed flareside.
-

Brother -- you have a good attitude about it. Brakes are an easy fix and one of the most important systems of any vehical.
It's cool how you and your wife work as a team. I truly hope you enjoy your newly purchased bird.

I knew I smelled something burning...LOL... ;D Might as well get them all while your at it.....

yeah shes great .
i found that I'm gonna have to pull the engine to get the oil pan out and replace the gasket . didn't see that one coming . but what better way to get to know your bird, huh?
-
That will definitely get you and your bird more intimate! Good luck pulling the motor.
-
Wow the only job my wife will do on the car is help me bleed the brakes, please try & use axle stands, Best of luck,
-
That is definitely a unique bird! Great to see your wife not afraid to get her hands dirty, i'm sure it's much more fun when she's as into it as you are!!
