got to do some snow removal this morning.  this is the ONLY thing I like about winter.

I want to see what you guys use.  this is my 582 Cub Cadet, with a 18hp B&S
it's one of the last true IH built cubs before MTD screwed things up.

This year I haven't used anything. Normally starting in about late October I get to blade my driveway about once a week or so. This year our first snow was last week, about five inches, then it rained that night and we have nothing again. We haven't really had any snow in our mountains yet. Not enough to make a difference at least. Gonna be a BAD year for water for the crops.

I use a 160 hp Massey-Ferguson to scrape my driveway. I don't have a picture of it with the blade on, but here is a picture of the tractor in the summer with my baler on it. Just picture it colder out and with a 10 foot blade on the back.

Magically the snow is removed any morning its needed to be. Gotta love being in an apartment complex ;)

Although they're very sparse on salting the pavement...

Beans are already through the roof at the moment around here. Pinto beans are currently at $44.00/cwt (.44/pound) for commercial price. Rumors are they will be over .50/pound buy the time Spring planting rolls around. Nobody raises any Soy around here so I have no clue on those. Corn is actually down a bit right now. It was at $11.00/cwt and is down to $9.50/cwt. Alfalfa (if you can even get any around here) is at record highs of over $300/ton for good stuff. With the price of beans, corn, spuds, and beets going up I doubt anyone will be putting much hay in so it likely won't get any better very soon. Couple that with no water and it is gonna be a BAD year.

I just shovel the sidewalks so I don't get a fine from the city.
I just drive in the rest of it!!!!
I don't mind the snow.
I enjoy driving in it and still love to go sledding.
Just not a big fan of cold weather.
