I know the owner of NPD and have spoke numerous times regarding that 79.  It is the most documented Fire-Am known to exist.  The owners of the carousel red one also own the very first Fire-Am Herb built for Pontiac as a concept for a order option.  That fell thru and Pontiac permitted Herb to sell the parts himself.  Their other is a 76 model with a swapped out 77 nose.

Now that Matt adams is selling VSE parts again you can build your own just like you could in the 80's.  I know I am.

Mike,

Do you have a link or contact info for Matt? I'd be interested in some suspension parts....and who knows, a turbo??  :)

That is a really nice car! Cool pictures.

Brian, Herb Adams has his own company now. His son helps him build the cars and sells the parts from there. Here is the link to his web site:

http://passion-motors.com/VSEPerfomanceParts.aspx

There is also a really interesting interview with Herb that was done earlier this year. Here is the link to it:

Hope this helps!
