I have been searching for an original set of V8 400 W72 chrome valve covers which I believe were only available on the special edition cars (the remaining V8 400 cars were painted covers). My question is for 1979 but actually this engine was used for 1978 and probably several years before that so I would have expected to find lots of oem or nos parts for sale.
I have not found any. If you have or know where to buy them please let me know.
Is the hard to find this part due to they were not great quality and didn't survive except on museum cars? Are the OER and other replacements looking good or do they look like most other parts with something slightly off to show they don't violate some existing trademark.
