I finally attempted to install my assembled door panels from Classic. After an afternoon of many curse words, I finally got all the clips in the right position and the arm rest, door cup and mirror locator installed. As soon as I close the door, the metal channel at the top will pop out of the top, pulling out the top two clips with it.

No amount of pressing on the top channel (to be clear this is the metal curved piece that sits at the stop, basically makes it assembled vs non assembled door panel) has it lock into place.

Honestly I'm beyond frustrated and upset.

Would the window felts be part of the culprit here?

The door trim will want to push up and out only if it's too long and bulged. Have heard PUI trims have that issue. Start over and work from the top down as that's a fixed point. Move the clips to the tops of their holes, worry about arm rest etc holes when done as may need elongating.
