A couple of Firebird enthusiast, one in North Carolina and the other in Mississippi, have organized the first ever "Appalachian Beach Run". This event is set to start in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on Monday, September 16th and end on Ocracoke Island in the Outerbanks on the following weekend (20th-21st). There are daily events planned as part of the trip that will include places like the NASCAR museum, the Biltmore Estates and the Backing Up Classics car museum, just to name a few. The Appalachian Beach Run is being organized to benefit the "Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation", but there is no registration fee for the run (will simply be looking for donations and there will be tee-shirts for sale). More event details will follow as this all comes together, so please consider putting this on your calendar and participating in either the whole event or even just part of it.
