Formula Hood Question
« on: July 31, 2010, 12:14:21 PM »
I have 2 questions:

1.) What color is the underside of the hod supposed to be in 1978? Mine appears to be a sort of grayish color and I wanted to repaint it, but I'm not sure if it was black or gray.

2.) What sort of sealer should I use to keep the water from seepiing into the hood between the scopps and the actual hood? It's getting between the scoop and hood and causing the insullation to hold water and rust the underside of the hood. It looks like it had some sort of sillicone type stuff, but it needs to be replaced. Any suggestions?

i think the underhood color was always a semi gloss black, and a way to seal the scoops would be some nice urethane sealer.....
