Title: '74 with t-tops??
Post by: 79BanditTA on October 17, 2011, 10:30:44 AM
Sitting in woodshop, talking to my teacher. He says he is fixing to get rid of a car out at his place. He said it was a '74 or '75 Firebird with T-Tops.. Is this even possible? I thought that T-Tops started in '76.. Also, he says that it hasn't run in about 4 years, but it ran good when his cousin parked it. He said he wants like 3 or $5000 for it. He sounds like he is open to offers, what is this car worth? I might be interested in picking this car up, but don't want to over pay.. I am pretty good with the '76-'79 history, but know VERY little about the earlier years.

Thanks,
Joe

Had to have been added if 74/75. Maybe it is a 76 50th Anniversary with tops, that would be a nice find

That's what I thought! and, yes it would be! We own a '76 SE with T-Tops already, but two would be better!

Thanks,
Joe

It could have those Texas t-tops in, a after mkt top, but they are hard to find, and I know a guy that's been looking for parts for a long time. buy it and do a REAPER on it!

I added the C&C tops on my 76 trans am when I bought it in 1978.  I thought they were great

Thank you all! I will get some specifics about it tomorrow or the next day, and get back to you. He said the interior was shot on it, and it hasn't been started in about 4 years. I am not sure he knows what the different years look like, so it very well could be a '76, then again, it could be a '74 or '75. Part of me wants another t-topped '76, and another part really wants a '74-'75 Formula! I will get some specs on it though, maybe try and get the VIN from him.

Thanks again!
Joe
