Shaker and heads
« on: September 02, 2016, 11:55:27 AM »
Just bought a blue 78 TA.It had engine work done, they glassed the shaker to the hood. Two questions, it has a 360 Offenhauser intake?  Will the height work with a 770 double pumper. How to measure height?

Next one, told it has Ram IV heads. They don't have the two outside bolt holes to  mount the header???  What are they?
Thanks

Got a noisy lifter, time to make change to bring hood scoop from hood back to engine. Dumping the Offenhauser 360 and Holley Street 770 for an intake that I got with the car.  It is an 9794234.  By sounds from a 68-69 era.  Anyone see an issue putting that on, I'm guessing a 71-74 400?  Also plan to go with a QJet that has been slightly built and looking for good options to purchase there. Back to that lifter that won't stay pumped up, I was told the engine has a Ram Air IV cam and lifters.  I'm planning on just going back in with a stock lifter, the set should only have around 2000 miles, are there better options?
