I purchased these on eBay a few weeks ago, sanded all the chipping clearcoat, and polished them up. The black inserts weren't in bad shape so I left them alone, but next year I'll powdercoat them if I still have the wheels on the car. I know the pics aren't great, I'll have to take it somewhere for some better pics this weekend maybe. Anyway, they're third gen 16x8 GTA wheels and the tires are 245/50ZR16 Falken Ziex ZE512's. Kind of sucks that I had to go with a narrower tire, as I was running 295/50/15's. Surprisingly though, they hook up unbelievably well. Actually better than the 295/50/15's. When I first put them on, I was like omg this is a bad idea, as it wheelhopped like CRAZY. But then the stickers wore off the back tires from a few burnouts.
Wheel after sanding/polishing to a mirror shine.
I ordered some spacers for the rear wheels as I'm not happy with their placement in the wheelwells, but overall I'm very happy with this decision. Now all I need to do is install the lowering kit.
You can see the new tires as well as my new headlights.
Next rear tires I think may be some Hooiser 275/45/16's, they're not street legal from what I hear, but that doesn't concern me as I don't try to drive it in the rain
Anyway, definate upgrade from these, IMO. But don't get me wrong, I still love the snowflakes and they will remain in use on a different T/A since the tires were still pretty darn close to new.
