Vicksburg Old Car Festival
« on: November 15, 2007, 10:03:29 PM »
Hi everyone, for the past 27 years Vicksburg, Michigan, has hosted a car show held in the streets of downtown. This show is for all makes/models of cars. There is a Friday night cruise in, then the main show is Saturday, usually cars start rolling in around 5:00 AM to get "their" spot. It's always been a great local show, the organizers are friends of mine and asked if I would invite my fellow Trans Am enthusists to attend the show. If there is a good response, all the T/A's will have their own area to display in. Typically the show draws 800-1000 cars, its a lot of fun, the flyers are printed in January, as soon as I get one I'll post it. I'm primarily looking to see if there is any interest in attending this show. It's always held the second weekend in June, that's the weekend right before the Dundee, MI. show. Vicksburg is in S.W. Michigan, less than an hour North of the Indiana border. There are other activities that go one also, craft fair in the park, and an old steam tractor display, historic village, cocessions, local singers, silent auction, etc. Thanks for reading!  :)

And you're cooking too?  OK...sign me up...I expect that we could muster 60-65 people -- free food in addition to lodging is always a big draw! :D ;)

Rick... I am an excellent cook and Jeff says that I just don't know when to quit when it comes to cooking... I always fix enough for a small Army... so just let me know when... (while I am an excellent cook... I could care less about the dust bunnies in the corner... so... you'll have to get over that)... enough beer and you'll forget they're there anyway ;)

Well....... My offer is to also "host" some transient T/A lvers for the weekend if you need a place to stay. I can accomodate 12-14 people at my house, I live on a lake, so I'm a water nut to say the least! We don't live far from downtown Vicksburg, about a 5-6 minute drive, and we love company in the summer! So let me know, I'll start prepping Rhonda for the invasion! LOL! Here's a few photo's.
