Windshield washer bottle
« on: January 08, 2009, 05:12:15 PM »
Was this style of bottle used for both the pulse and non-pulse wipers?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190277284465&_trksid=p2759.l1259

He states that it feeds from the cap.......mine feeds from the bottom (pump)

Did they make this type bottle to do both or is it one or the other?

It's one or the other.... and you can also buy them from the parts distributors for $12 to $14..... not his $20 asking price.

It depends where your current pump is.  Sounds like yours is in the bottle....then that's what you need.  The one on ebay feeds a pump that's located on the wiper assembly.  You couldn't use that one.

I thought that was the jug for the non-pulse wipers, and it is.  He answered the question for me before bidding ended.

In the Y88, it had the pulse wiper style jug (should feed from the cap), but it had a hole cut in the bottom corner with a pump attached.  I didn't think it was the correct one.  Now I know.

As Hitman mentioned earlier, I can purchase the non-pulse wiper jug for $12 to $14.

I was curious when I saw his ad and thought it didn't sound right.

And I learned the correct information from here and the parts manual (CD).

Thanks for the help.
