I had a window sticker made for the 78, paid extra for having It laminated, I sent a copy of my build sheet, and the Phs sheet

Isn't that GM a model of efficiency?  Make the car in California and ship it to Michigan.  Maybe they forgot they had a plant in Ohio.

That's a lot of money for a car!  I think I was making something like $1,250 a month back then.

They financed me at 11 3/4 %, first loan give it to me good! but it started my credit, so depends how you look at. I was making $6 an hour.

The SE charge was way too high.  All you got was some pin striping and gold accents.  That was a big percentage of the cost of the car.   But you made a great choice!  You can look back at that purchase as being smart.  At the time I would have told you that you were crazy.

Well, I got the car a year old, one of the GM's drove it in 78, I was standing in front of a brand new gold 79 and i got the 78, I thought the se and the pontiac 400 was the rite thing,little did i know there was prob a super duty on the lot! I remember driving around to all the pontiac lots looking at these brand new. I wish I took pic's, My mom called one day w/ all my paperwork,I think I put that up here before, I also found my Salseman at a Chrysler dealership.
