Not quite understanding what you are doing? Did you just "clean" it up?

I took the bezel out of my car and pulled off the bezel tape then I cut the engine turn myself. first thing tomorrow im gonna post a pic of it after I spray the gold on.
I did it myself at home in my garage after practicing on a spare bezel, to get the spacing so the turn looks authentic

Did you use a drill press for the engine turn. I have two bezels I would like to play around with. I guess you used an abrasive pad?

How much overlap do you do? 1/2? What gold color are you using? It must take a lot of time to do the whole bezel.

I thought of doing my bezel but then I thought I could spend my time doing something else and just pay Randy combs the $150 and he makes the entire dash bezel look perfect. Just my 2 cents.

that takes the fun out of it! Randy does a great job no doubt. I have two extras laying around I want to play around with...   Plus it's a good skill to learn.

this is the first bezel that I have done. no where near the quality I have seen from randy combs pics but at least I can say that I did it myself.
I learned so much from this first one, perhaps if I do another it will turn out better

It looks very time consuming. How long did it take you?

not sure how long it would take to do another one now that I have it all worked out, maybe 4 hours start to finish.

I applaud your effort. I wonder if Randy would shoot you some pointers.

This is what makes this a fun hobby. It's all about trying and learning.

I didn't like the colour of the bezel so I redid it with this paint colour. I like it now, its a perfect match to my steering wheel

That's great to hear Randy helped you out. It speaks volumes about what kind of guy he is. Makes me feel good about sending him my bezels. I have them removed from the cars sitting in my trunk ready to ship to him. hopefully tomorrow
