Yes, there is a rear license plate lamp and lens that is on the 1978 and earlier.  You can see it in this photo:

It is the white thing that screws into the side of the tail light housing.  There is one on each side held in by two screws.

Read this post about first and second design t-tops weatherstripping.

http://www.78ta.com/smf/index.php?topic=3973.0

And no, no one makes the second design weatherstripping for Hurst.  The big distributors say they have it, but it is the same thing.  They seem to think that the one will fit both applications.  They are wrong, it does not work.  Anyone who has the second design Hurst weatherstripping will tell you that they CANNOT find the second design weatherstripping anywhere.  They stated that they might be making it soon, but I have not seen it out there.  Like I said, They SAY they have it, but the actually don't.

Another thing that is hard to find is the turbo light bar for 1980 and 1981 Turbo cars.  Most of the ones are cracked or broken and no one makes a new one.  It looks like this:

And yes, that is one I have for sale if someone wants to make me any offers on it.  I also have an uncracked dash and a front nose peice for 1979-81 in excellent shape.

That's what I thought. I can't find those lenes anywhere.

Looks like someone beat me to the punch. I went to look at the TA at the junkyard and most of the parts we were talking about were gone. Guess I shouldn't have waited for the 1/2 off sale.

I'll put those lenses on my list.  I know I've seen them at the salvage yard.  I may make a trip next week or most likely the week after.

I had no idea those little clips for the fresh air duct from the plastic to the fender was hard to find. I swear I have atleast 4 of them in my garage.

Maybe I'll sandblast and powdercoat some of them.

I've been hoarding them too! ;D
Ever since I had one guy at a car show try to take one off with his fingers! :o
I guess he thought he could take the small screw off by hand! ::)

That's the part I was thinking it was. The one I saw on eBay went for almost $100.

The 160 mph speedometers from earlier firebirds are becoming sort of rare.  They usually sell for around 100 bucks on ebay.  The ones with both the seatbelt and brake warning lights are nice for guys with the later 2nd gens as they can use all of their existing speedo lights.

A really nice set of rally II centercaps (with pontiac emblems) can be hard to come by (for a decent price).  The reproductions at Classic Industries are $52.00 a piece.

A full quarter panel for a second gen is pretty much impossible to find unless you buy a parts car.  I bought mine through Memory Lane, a local classic car salvage yard.

GM Sports Salvage in San Jose, CA has quarter panels and just about anything else you can think of.  In the last two weeks, I found two nice steel center caps, a radiator overflow bottle, radio bracket, battery hold down bracket, one of those fresh air elbows with the bracket and the length of duct that goes down the fender, and a few other odds and ends like the pins and fastener for the under steering column cover and a jack hold down bracket.

Right now they have six or seven second gen T/A's including a 71 and 75.  The 71 is just about picked clean though.  They also have a huge quantity of fourth gen birds...must be twenty or thirty of them.
