whats wrong with blue and gold? you have a sanded down twin of this one.
Too many birds, not enough food.

here is a few pics of my first car. I got it at age 14. and and it sat for years and worked on it off and on for 7 years  it was blue with blue bird kit. so I like the blue, just not the gold. my preference. I sold her 2 years ago.  and regret it.

Hey -- those pics were taken on Friday this year in Dayton!  I remember the car -- and that's Raven's Avalanche with the red 78 in the background in the first shot.  Too bad we didn't know who you were -- you probably ran into a bunch of us and just didn't know it. ???

nope being different is never a bad thing. however that blue gold combo was all factory and never painted and until i seen its sanded down twin, i have never seen another blue and gold one. i do like the colors and i really wish i didnt sell it especially now that spring is here however my basement is getting closer to done and my wife is happy with that 2 credit cards are paid off and i do own a y82 thanks to selling that car but having a 40,000 mile car vs a crap box y82 there is no comparrison.

its what the car means to you thats most important my car isn't special at all when it comes to numbers, but to me its the world.  Its what you make of it that is the real value of the car

the deck lid is called a whales tail. all the fiberglass work on her is all hand laid glass work. I did not order them, I made them. a friend of mines dad drag raced with a guy that did glass work he had the molds for them.  he was retired from it and he helped me make them. I had about 100 bucks in materials. and a lotttttt of time in them. once pulled from the mold, I cut off the deck lid skin and glassed the tail on. and the hood I used a firebird hood so I didn't cut up my shaker hood.

I have 2 79 t/a's now. once I get my 4 speed done. the other will get the oem look but all the parts on it will be glassed on the car. going to lower the car 2" and chop the top 2" , shave the doors . and put my 77 W72 motor in it with a th400 auto trans with rev. manual shift kit.

welding classes ? you don't need no stinking welding classes.  any body can pull a trigger. (mig) .  but if you really want to learn to weld, learn to stick weld first.  its not that hard. I could teach you in about 2 hr's.  I am certified In all 4. mig tig stick and brazing.  get you a 1/4" piece of flat stock and a buz box (stick welder) and some 1/8" or smaller 6011 rods and just try to spell you name on the piece of stock. when you figure out the right temp and speed to run the rod. try it on a thinner piece. and so on. wile turning the temp down as you go thinner. smaller rods for thinner metal to.  once you get the jist of it mig is a brezzzzzzzzzzz.  that's just a temp and wire speed.  this has been a crash course in welding 101.  $50 dollars plezzzzzzzzz. make check payable to,,,, just joking. ;
