Funny...the guy gives the transamtech website as documentation to show the L78 production number...and then mis-quotes the number. The 548 should be 748.

Lots of stuff wrong with this car, looks like a piece/put together car to me...

78-80 deluxe seats  w/standard door panels and dash, 78-81 radio, wrong shaker base, late 77 shaker (this car should have a short 77 shaker) wrong valve covers (not a W72), shift indicator rusty like windshield leaks, no center on the horn button, PHS shows power windows but this car now has roll ups, non air panel under column,  w/air dash and glovebox, rear seat console awol, incorrect (and rolled) striping, I bet its even worse in person as the pics are not that good.

Yeah, this guy is close to me, I have spoken with him quite a few times.  Yes, this car is a nothing.... has alot of stuff wrong with it.  Did you even notice the different snowflakes between the drivers side and passenger side?

This is another seller that expects a new paint job to sell a car and people buy it without knowing all of the stuff wrong with it.  I would hate to see the electrical and mechanical issues with this car.

I just asked him a question. lets see if he answers.      ( The build sheet says pwr windows, i see crank handles on the doors, and the rear seat console is missing. Are there any other things you may know of wrong with the car?)

I asked about the miles and the cowl plate codes....
NO COWL PLATE and 112,000 miles....

I am re-estimating my guess at the sale price at $7,500-9,500

I would still love to have this car in my garage!!!

Midyear did a good job of covering alot of things wrong with this ride.

Good eye on those snowflakes Brett,  I had to look a second and third time to notice it.

I would also add that the small SE stripe is missing on the lower section of the back bumper.

What are you talking about. It has power windows. The switches are right there in the center console. It just has the same manual assist option that Brett's new car has.

My friend talked to him today, he is asking $7k for the car.  The last car he had on Ebay was a 78 SE clone.  He was asking $11k for the car and it sold for $19,200 on Ebay.

$7K is a bit more then I can spend on a Daily Driver right now.. or I would pick it up in a heart beat!!!

She's up to $8500! With 1 day and 20 hours left!!!

I am enjoying watching this.... just to get a quasi idea of what the ebay folks would pay for a Y81.
