Im like you, I bought a set on ebay that needs to be restored. If you figure out a way and are interested, I may send them to you and let you restore them.
If I can stop procrastinating that is :? . I think I'm afraid to start the project because I think I'm afraid of somehow ruining the ones I have. But if I ever get it done and if they happen to look good, I'll post the process.
I think I remember seeing the pics in the topic that ta78w72 posted the link to. As I recall, someone did an excellent job restoring theirs but I don't recall the process they used.
