« on: July 17, 2007, 12:46:50 PM »
I plan on heading down Saturday morning bright & early, arrive around 11-12noon, register, wash the car, go thru tech line, hang out till 3pm, check in at the Drury Inn, head to Tipp City with the gang, return to hotel, party till the cows come home, wake up Sunday hung over, head to the show & head home around 2pm. All are welcome for a mini caravan...

SOUNDS GOOD! Where are you staying Sat. night? I will be at the Drury Inn. I also stayed at the Holiday Inn at Tipp City 4 of the past 5 years. I'll email more info.

I stayed there in 2002. Is this your first year?

Yes, this is will be our first year for TA Nats.   My son bought the 89 GTA about 6 weeks ago.  We have been doing some detailing on it since then, and we blew some fresh paint on a couple places.  It's a 305 TPI 5 speed car.  No t-tops.  Good driver car.  Needs a few things, but that's part of the fun.  Sounds like we're going to have a blast!

We did sign up for the Tipp City cruise.  Saw the pics on the web site from previous years, and it looks to be a great time too.

I'm thinking we could meet you around Ann Arbor somewhere on or just off US-23.  Let me know if you have a preference for a particular place.  I grew up in Ann Arbor so I'm pretty familiar with the area.  There is a Big Boy at the Plymouth Rd. exit that may work?

Keep in touch.

Brad

Make sure when you guys come down, bring some Big Boy burgers down for me.  We used to have them around here all the time, but most of them closed down.  So, on your way, pick up four of them for me.

Being your first year, you will have a good time.... we will make sure of it.

The way my kid eats, the only thing left will be the salad  ;D

I've been lurking here for a while and I can tell already this is going to be major blast!

Thanks!

Caravaned with Mr502 to the NATS this weekend. It was a lot of fun. Brad & son Cody are a perfect example of the kind of family oriented people you met within this forum. Looking forward to seeing them next year & at Bakers Cruise In with his crate 502 engine in his NOVA! (Can you imagine the same motor Steve Dancer has in a Nova).

Thanks for the kind words Joe!  Cody and I enjoyed you and your wife's (and everyone else's company) for the weekend. No problems on the way back after we split up.  Not to mention I felt a whole lot better having someone to caravan with.  I would have been a little nervous going that far in a car we just put back together the night before.  We both want to come back next year, and then I will be the one sleeping in the passenger seat while Cody drives! ;D  Unless of course they will let a Nova in the show, ummmm probably not!  Hope to see you soon.
