Butler Performance builds Twin Turbo engines ^^ And they can make some solid ammounts of horsepower :)
"79 Trans Am tenth Anniversary Edition"
"81 Turbo Trans Am"
Sad to see that people part out T\A's :( especially saveable ones

pretty much anything that comes out of Butler's shop makes a ton of power. i think they have mine tagged for around 600HP. originally i was shooting for 450-500 but it really doesn't cost that much more to go a little higher. my biggest thing was i wanted driveability over anything else. i didn't want some wild race engine that shakes the teeth out of your head. i wanted it to be smooth with a nice little rumble to it...

...and i shot the firewall afterward. after all my stressin'- it turned out really good! i think i'm gonna leave it a matte black rather than a gloss.

the flash from the camera kinda makes it look glossy but it isn't...

that's good work. its not the point that any one will never see it. you are preserving and protecting your car.  A+

in 10 years when your car is ready for a restoration that surface rust on there would be bad pits.

yea me too. the matte finish looks awsome! it's the same finish i had the frame powdercoated in also.
i had a cool idea while i painting the top of the firewall-i took it all the way down to the seam where the firewall panel is spot welded to the body. i taped it off and will use a differant finish on the rest of the bottom. if i'm picturing it right in my head, the contrast should look great! i'll post some pics when the paint dries  ;)

i am SO happy with the way the firewall turned out!!! the paint i used worked perfectly!!! i can't beleive how good it looks... sorry, just impressed the hell out of myself since i've never painted before haha...

i decided everything passed the tape line back will be a glossier black rather than a matte. i think the contrast will look cool...
