Absolutley...

I had tried to get into some sort of lawenforcement, security, etc for almost 10 years.

When I got hired at the provincial jail in my city, it was the last attempt I was going to make before I went back to school to become an electrician. I finally made it and i love my job so far and I get paid well.

The 2 months with no pay kinda sucked though because we didn't get paid while at the basic

now I just have to wait for my oportunity to get full time!!

in the end i don't have any control over where they send me. if i get stuck in SE, i look at it as a faster learning curve with more experience ;)

2 months???? i wish!!!! it's a 7-10 month academy my friend! i don't live there- i'll be driving back and forth from my house to DC everyday. i think i might go buy a little economy car, like a Chevy Aveo or something. my full size pick up will kill me on gas if i used it to commute with.

Billy,

Awesome! Now if I drive my T/A down to DC and do a burnout in front of the White House and get pulled over, I can drop your name and get off with just a warning. lol.
Congrats & good luck with your new career!
