Rear Axle Bearings

I'm planning to replace my rear axle bearings this weekend. I have the general idea of what to do, but does anyone have any suggestions, etc? Do I need a slide hammer type puller, or is there another way of removing them?

They actually have abearing press for those..... I don't think it is something that you can rent, but I could be wrong.
